JOIN IN ON OUR FUN AND SUPPORT
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS ON THE COFFS COAST... Extensive research has shown that exercise benefits most people during and after cancer treatment. Dragon boat paddling provides a gentle full body workout which will help to improve your fitness, confidence and aid your return to an active, healthy lifestyle. The upper body exercise of paddling helps to improve shoulder movement post-surgery and assists with Lymphoedema management. New members and current Dragons Abreast members visiting the Coffs Coast are welcome. Our club offers a fun, friendly, no stress environment where you determine your own level of involvement.

While DACC members have shared a similar journey we do not dwell on the past but
embrace an active life as we enjoy fun together. If you haven't paddled before you are welcome to come along, meet the team and just give it a try. DACC conducts a social paddling session on the Bellinger River at Mylestom or the Kalang River at Urunga on the last Sunday afternoon of each month plus we enjoy regular social events together. Let us know if you would like to come along. |
All Dragons Abreast Coffs Coast paddlers are required to become members of a local sporting dragon boat club. Membership of a sporting dragon boat club is an insurance requirement for paddling & enables us to enjoy more paddling sessions together on all club occasions and with family, friends and fellow club members. Breast cancer survivors are also welcome to join DACC as non-paddling, social members & enjoy our off the water activities. |
